Bach Flower Essences

The information presented here comes from my casual research and should not be taken as medical advice.

In the 1920’s and 1930’s, a noted physician and homeopath, Dr. Edward Bach, identified 38 basic negative states of mind and developed a system to treat them with “flower essences”.  The flower essences are still manufactured today, and distributed by A Nelson & Co, the offshoot of the pharmacy that originally produced them.  The flower essences are created from flowers and spring water and preserved in brandy.  They are taken by diluting two drops into a glass of water or other liquid.  Brief descriptions of the 38 flower essence is provided below, and links to the Bach Centre and A Nelson & Co can be found in the links section at the bottom of this page.
